HELPFUL INFORMATION

When you visit with us…
Our service is found in the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) found on the shelf of the chair in front of you. Our Hymns are found in the red hymnal and our songs are located in the white binder. If this is your first time attending an Episcopal service, we invite you to relax, do not worry about all the books, but enjoy the presence of God.
All baptized persons are invited to receive Holy Communion. Communion is received in two kinds, the bread and the wine, or the bread alone. If you place your hands together, right over left with your palms facing up, the priest will place the bread on the palm of your hand. Single serve micro-chalices are available in the silver trays residing on the altar rails. Please deposit your empty micro-chalice in the recycle bin at the end of the altar rail.
To learn more about the ministries of St. Joseph’s and upcoming activities, you can browse our website further, contact the church office at 352-472-2951, or while at church, fill out a Response Card and place it in the offering plate during the Offertory.
